Fullbody Brewer’s Duck
Product Details
The Brewer’s Duck replicates an uncommon wild cross between two species. Documented cases are extremely rare and most waterfowlers have heard of them, but will never encounter one in the wild.
This one-of-one Full Body Brewer’s Duck brings the striking mallard X gadwall hybrid to life. Signed by Dave Smith and mounted on a walnut base with custom habitat built by our team, this piece celebrates the unexpected beauty found in wild waterfowl.
A one-time chance to own a truly unique piece that highlights a rare hybridization while supporting the research working to better help scientists analyze waterfowl migration, breeding site origins, behavior, and landscape-level biodiversity to guide better wildlife management decisions
Made in the U.S.A.
Includes: (1) Limited Series Full Body Brewer’s Duck, and (1) Certificate of Authenticity.
Giving Back | About the Project
Conservation
This Limited Series was inspired by ongoing efforts to better understand waterfowl genetics and the rare variations and hybridizations that occur in the wild. Work being done in the field continues to uncover how hybridization effects wild waterfowl populations and migration patterns.
This project was built around that idea, capturing a rare cross that shows those genetics in motion. Proceeds from this auction directly support continued research and studies focused on waterfowl genetics.
