Smoke Phase Jake
Product Details
A rare bird in every sense. The Smoke Phase Jake is a tribute to one of the most stunning and talked-about wild turkey color morphs: the smoke phase. Known for its soft, silvery-white feathers and ghostlike appearance, this coloration turns heads in the woods and sparks conversation among hunters.
This Limited Series decoy is a celebration of that beauty — detailed, lifelike, and hand-finished to our highest standards. It’s not modeled after one specific bird, but rather pays homage to the phenomenon itself — just as we did with our sold-out Smoke Phase Hen.
Each Smoke Phase Jake comes with a riveted Limited Series leg band and a Certificate of Authenticity, marking its place in the DSD lineup. Whether it finds its way into a blind or onto a shelf, it represents craftsmanship, rarity, and a passion for the wild turkey.
Made in the U.S.A.
Includes: (1) Limited Series Smoke Phase 3/4 Strut Jake Decoy, (1) Jake Stake, (1) Decoy Carry Bag, (1) Certificate of Authenticity, and (1) Limited Series Riveted Band.
Weight (Per Decoy): 6lbs

Conservation
Supporting the future of wild turkeys.
This Limited Series isn’t just about what you see — it’s about what we’re helping uncover.
Dave Smith Decoys is proud to invest in groundbreaking science on wild turkey genetics. Through a gift to Ducks Unlimited, we will be supporting wildturkeyDNA, a collaborative research project involving Ducks Unlimited, the University of Texas at El Paso, National Wild Turkey Federation, the Wild Turkey Lab, and the Low Country Game Bird Foundation that will use hunter-harvested DNA samples to study the genetics of wild turkeys. This first year of their work focuses on hybridization and rare color variations, including the smoke phase.
To support the efforts, we’re donating 20% of the proceeds from this drop to uncovering the secretes of wild turkey genetics and holding a special auction for one Smoke Phase Jake, with 100% of the winning bid going to the cause.
It’s a one-of-a-kind decoy, tied to a one-of-a-kind project. Because preserving the future of wild turkeys means understanding their past — and we’re honored to help tell that story.
