The Posturing Jake is a great option for hunters who want the next level of aggression in their turkey hunting without going up to a full size strutter. It is also a great option for guys who want a more aggressive pose, but want as fast of a setup as possible. The posturing Jake comes with the beard attached, so as fast as you can pull it out of it’s bag, set it on the included stake and you’re ready to go.
Like all our turkey decoys, the Posturing Jake is made out of our legendary A.C.E. Technology so he can withstand the countless beatings that are sure to come his way. There is no inflation required, so his rugged body will always hold it’s natural shape. Also like our other turkeys, he can even withstand an accidental shotgun blast or broadhead through the body with only minimal damage. Made in the U.S.A.

Another knock out for the boys from Oregon. This smug fella has everything we’ve come to expect from DSD decoys, from his lifelike iridescent shine and colors, to his feather detail and craftsmanship, he is bound to enrage longbeards’ that glance his way. If your using him with a DSD hen or two (which you should be), he’s going to be extremely effective I am more than willing to bet. His head and facial expression literally has a look about it that says to longbeards’, ( yeah, I’m on your turf and got some of your hens.. what you gonna do about it?)
Its all pretty ironic because he’s on the small side even for a jake’s size. If you could tie a jake decoy with the napoleon complex, it would be this guy. I believe he’s going to be a great option for an in-between of the 3/4 jake and the strutters.

I’m very happy with this posturing jake decoy. It looks like the real deal out in the woods. Opening day here in Michigan I called in three long beards and when they saw the decoy they came right in looking for a fight. I’m sure the life like decoy helped me put my tag on a beautiful long beard with 1 1/4 inch spurs.

First look out of the box and this decoy is fantastic. The attention to detail and color is incredible. My only problem with the decoy is the carrying bag. It seems DSD has switched material types from the previous decoys I’ve purchased. They new bag doesn’t seem to be as heavy duty as in the past and it creates more noise than the cloth types. Also, wish they’d send more DSD stickers so I can slap them up everywhere!

Got a chance to see a Tom’s reaction to this guy finally. Tom came out of the woods and immediately went into strut and charged the decoy. He attacked the decoy for a bit before I could get a shot off and the decoy looks like it was never touched. Great work all.

Hands down the most effective gobbler decoy I’ve ever used. The posturing Jake was a part of 27 longboards meeting their maker last year and 25 of those were shot directly off the top of him. The paint and posture are perfect. Leave it to DSD to exceed your wildest expectations every single time. This one is a home run for sure!

Another amazing decoy as always from DSD. The detail is second to none. When you have this little guy out in the field it’s hard to tell him apart from the real ones. His small stature and bad attitude makes him irresistible to toms. I think early season is where he shines the most. Usually the first week of our season in Indiana it’s a little cold and they aren’t as aggressive yet so a strutter isn’t always the best choice right out the gate. I do agree with a few others on the reviews though the bags are a little noisy and feel not as durable as the older bags. DSD does set the standards so the bag was a let down.
