Is this legal in my state?

The mating motion pair is legal in most states. The decoys themselves are legal in all 50 states, but the use of motion is prohibited in a few select states.
Please check your local regulations. We have tested these decoys out with and without motion and the decoys by themselves are still very effective and offer a new, uniqe pose.

Can I buy the Mating Motion Jake with the Submissive Hen I already own?

Though the differences between our submissive hen and our mating hen look subtle to us, they are significant in what they display in the turkey world.

If you already own a submissive hen, you really want to use your submissive hen in close proximity to the mating motion pair. The idea of a submissive hen readying herself to be “next” adds to the overall effectiveness

The Mating Hen is specifically designed with hardware hardware and clearances for the Mating Jake stake and pull cord that the submissive hen does not have. In order to use the Submissive hen properly it would require fabrication and alteration, including drilling a hole, that we don’t recommend.

How bulky is the setup?

If you’re used to carrying a Jake and a Hen decoy already,
then it really is no bulkier. The
pull handle and eye bolts do not add much weight or size and each decoy comes with it’s own carrying case.
